Sunday July 25

Welcome to the apalling angles of Kate's bedroom. This is where I've been sitting most of the day, like a bum. However, I've been doing hard work. I have almost all classes confirmed by various advisors. I also have several study abroad options in the works/being researched for Fall 2011, though my first choice is out of the running. It's okay. I can always do Canadian grad school. Kidding. Maybe... I don't know where my affinity for Canada came from. That's a lie. The people are friendly, the government has it more together than ours, living cost is cheaper (at least than New York), education is important, and the food is delicious. Really really delicious. All I have to decide between is poutin and crepes.

So that's what today was. Choices weighed back and forth. Classes. Countries (most likely between Ireland and Australia now- suggestions welcome). Delicious food. Except that I just ate a big container of pasta and cucumbers.

I can't cook yet. I'm waiting for Canadians to teach me.

If not then please check your spam folder, sometimes my hugs come up as spam for some reason.

Part of my ongoing Doodle-a-day project.

words yet nothing

sometimes an email has a lot of words-or i should clarify and say lists or funny things-in response to a scared email from you and the lack of giving a damn just astounds me

365/39: Tappity Tap

My hands and wrists are still a little sore from Wednesday's crazy-long work shift, where I sent around 80 work related emails. I think that's a personal record, not that I'm exactly showing off about it!

I'm working on a few really cool projects at the moment but as is the way of the world they've all come along at once and I'm just trying to deal with it. Next weekend is my little holiday to Hoop Gathering so I'm just getting stuff finished off beforehand so I can enjoy that. Hula hula!

I really need to clean my keyboard.

Annoying Facebook

It's a filter I have when it notifies me.

I'm glad there's an option to uncheck certain things it notifies you with, because in this case here I have an unprecedented amount of notices of people 'writing on my wall' to say happy birthday.

It's the one time I don't mind getting those notices - I rarely don't, usually, as not many people write or have reason to write on my wall there, and here's a kind reason to do so.

My thanks to the 14 people who wished me well. For once, it wasn't annoying.

the percy shawl- frogged

2 reps of chart A. this is the 3rd time casting on, and also the third time starting point from set up rows. I'm using souvenir yarn I got from the Brooklyn General store in NY. It's called Brooklyn hand spun or something, in the colorway of sage brush.

I know that the details of the lace is lost in all the color, but I believe this shawl will be beautiful once it's finished and blocked.

RJM Lofficier E-mail

An old e-mail from the rec.arts.drwho newsgroup. February 2005 and the Lofficiers were discussing a meeting they'd just had where the possibility of a new Doctor Who with a new paradigm was discussed. I keep strange things.

My silk worm

Today is June 5 and finally my silk worm has food to eat again.
Yesterday I ran out of food and he wouldn't eat the old leaves. But
thankfully my dad went and picked some fresh leaves for him/her. And
now he/she can start eating again!!
